I visited the coliseum for the Circus held the weekend of 8/25-8/27 2017. The remodeling is nice, adds plenty more seats to watch a show and convenience to go outside if you need to leave quickly. The downside is men's bathrooms are not as prevaleyas female bathrooms (may have to walk around the concourse) and 3 people standing shoulder to shoulder can block the concourse at areas.
I just love this place. It has positive things thats going on in Alexandria. I'm grateful for the little things that come to this colusiem. Monster truck, wwe wrestling, country singers, rodeos ect.
Plenty of women's restrooms but I only found one men's. But it was very nice. Huge improvement with the recent renovation.
The coliseum seems to be making a comeback with events. It needs to bring events and people into Alexandria from surrounding towns and parishes. The new facelift is beautiful. But if you have visited the coliseum in the past, the inside is still mostly the same. I attended a high school graduation and it was nice. I'd like to see the upgrades and development continue if the venue can somewhat fund itself. This could really be an asset to Central Louisiana.
The upgrades to the collisium are nice. But I thought it was odd that there is no American Flag hanging any where. Had to look at a the colors on a monitor.
