Gorgeously redone! This hotel now shines! Everything has been completely redone and it shows. Great location in the vibrant downtown with easy access to the interstate. Great for conferences and meetings, or just a getaway. Can't go wrong!
Newly renovated....nicely done however, our room had several areas of water damage still very visible/noticeable. The breakfast we ordered from The Levee was cold and the Eggs Benedict I ordered was way overcooked, the yolk was as if it was hard boiled. No half/half or cream for coffee we ordered. Simple things that matter when you pay $60 for food alone + $3 service fee + 22% gratuity for breakfast. I understand "hotel restaurants" are priced high, but I don't mind paying higher prices if the service/food is exceptional.
The hotel and rooms are nice and clean. The restaurant Has good food and the staff we're great. The hotel maintenance guy, shuttle bus driver and clean up guy for ballroom are all in The same one person. Two different women at the front desk we're rude and less to be desired. Not only was I mis informed regarding the shuttle bus scheduling so we're other people in our group and we had to pay $30.00 for a cab ride to the hotel from the airport. Will not go back!
Levee restaurant: Food is above average price, but quality is well worth it. My wife got the Extreme (?) BLT, and I got the club sandwich. Both were excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant and bar is quiet and classy. I really enjoyed the visit, and I'll definitely eat here again.
We had a hard time finding a hotel that met all of our needs, until we found this Holiday Inn! They are pet friendly with a dog park! The front office staff went above and beyond! The room was very clean and updated. The location had a beautiful old church across the street. The beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to go back!
The beds were comfortable. Only a shower in the King Executive Suite. If using the pull out sofa bed make sure you ask for comforter, sheets only in the dresser drawers. Very spacious room. Catholic and Baptist Churches located directly across the street.
