It was comfortable. Close to many places to eat. My only pet peeve was that we had made reservations for a room with a king size bed.Got an email confirming that. Arrived at 4:15 and were told that no Kings were available. Just queens. We do ALOT of traveling for business, my husband is a big man. He needs a big bed. So, we didn't sleep too well that night. Plus, the people stomping around on the floor above us didn't help. But overall, it was ok. PLUS!! We were supposed to get 1000 points because we paid extra, but now I noticed we still only got 500 points. Kinda disappointed. :(
There's nothing like getting up in the morning ready to take a shower and 8(TINY) streams of water hits you in the face. Not enough water to know you're in the shower. Took my ESAanimal( fully certified with papers) and got grilled by staff. They seem not to know the law. When my wife spoke to the manager she never apologized. I'm fairly sure I'm going to report them. Though this is typical for Alexandria it is not what I expect out of the Holiday Inn Express. This is an abnormality. Bad management and untrained staff. If the manager would have apologized without defending her employees and promised that she would handle the matter this would have been a much better review. This manager seemed to be missing theability and the desire to diffuse the situation. It could have been handled better.
The front desk was courteous. Breakfast was awesome. I really enjoyed the gym facility as well.

The hotel was very well kept and clean. The staff was always available and attentive, very friendly. The room was great and the beds were clean and comfy with a huge television. The complimentary breakfast was really good compared to most hotel experiences and had options for all food preferences. We really enjoyed our stay.
