I reserved all four cottages for out of state friends visiting this April. They found hospitality and service to be very poor -- especially for the price. Instead of a welcoming note, each cottage had a handwritten note from Susan that said only "Please, No Smoking" - I saw this myself and cringed - when I went to put personal welcome baskets in the cottages. One of the guests checked, and this note was handwritten on every new page of the welcome book. There were posted signs above the jacuzzi warning of the $400+ fine for using bubble bath. It was a very unwelcoming inhospitable way of conveying these messages. Breakfast was inadequate - and consisted of one muffin, and some pre-measured weak coffee, and one cottage ran out of toilet paper. In the overall layout of the cottage was poor, there were no shelves or hooks for towels and clothes. Some of these oversights could be overlooked in a budget level operation, but this was not at all a budget operation. On the positive side, it was neat, clean and pretty, but I would not put guests here again.
